How do I remove background noise from audio for free?

What background noise does it remove?
Steady background noise (fans, traffic, air conditioning, hum) and room echo. Coughs, phone rings and other people talking stay in; the full app removes those.
Can it remove echo from a recording?
Yes. Echo from bare rooms, like an empty office or a tiled bathroom, is reduced together with the background noise. Very strong echo gets softer but may not go away completely.
Does it work on voice memos, podcasts and interviews?
Yes. It is made for speech: phone voice memos (iPhone saves M4A), podcasts, interviews, lectures and meeting recordings all work, up to 100 minutes per file.
Which file types and lengths can I upload?
MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC, up to 100 minutes and 10 MB. The cleaned file is always an MP3.
Is my audio file kept private?
